When you decide to write a blog, create a site or open online business, you will certainly start looking at the options of promoting in. You know the rule – more visitors = more clients, more clients = more money.

It is also indisputable that modern SEO techniques are largely based on online communities, like Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Delicious, Digg, Tumblr and many others. In this article, we’ll concentrate on Twitter promotions.

While traditional web advertising is quite understandable – you just purchase banners, clicks, impressions and/or back links – social SEO is still quite new and unexplored.

How can you bring more people to your online business? How to increase “likes” and “followers”? How to improve overall image of your business?

Logics say go to the root, or visit advertising pages of each concrete service. Indeed, it is easiest way and guaranteed to be safe, stable and effective. However, conventional advertising with such services can be very budget-draining.

Check out, for example, Twitter's promotional page. You will see that estimated monthly budget goes from $5,000 and up – which is fine, as long as you have this sum. But what if you don’t?

You can keep searching for people, discuss with them various topics and spend immense amount of time on improving your company’s social look. And all this can fail, in the end.

But time is changing, and many new services have appeared, that can significantly improve your chances to promote your business in much cheaper and easier way.

We’ll review two of such services here – TwitHawk and BigSocial.

TwitHawk

This really interesting application, allowing to create virtual “searches” for keywords you need, seek people who talk about it and then send them pre-written messages, which, as you might have guess, can contain links to your site.

Obviously, the service is cheap – unlimited searches and 100 to 1200 messages (with price range $5 to $50 USD), with first 10 Free.

It is also very targeted, effective and cautious, filtering too usual words like “already”, “everybody”, “did”, “it”, “tell”, etc, and providing “noise” meter, which helps you to make sure that you are not “overdoing” the job.

We really recommend you to use it, as it save lots of time if you’d be doing the very same thing manually.

BigSocial

Now this one is relatively new and not highly developed yet, however is the most resultative so far. For only $7.99 you get smooth increase by 500 Twitter followers with-in 8 to 12 hours. Indeed impressive results, those are – as Yoda would say – 500 new Jedis fill might your ranks.

Seriously speaking, this service is very valuable, so far, since all those new followers are real people and do write about real things. And all of them, by a kind of magic, join up to follow you.

This is really by far most successful Twitter promoter known. But miracles do not end here – they also deal with YouTube and Facebook promotions! So, if you need to make your business known, quickly and effectively, and if you don’t have unlimited budget – as most people don’t – this is your best shot yet.

A note of warning, though:

  1. When you order from BigSocial, be sure to check up your SPAM folder, since they do seem to have problem with DNS Key Authentication and their mails might just end up there.
  2. The service is yet new, so there are no guarantees about its future, but for now, they do their job quite perfect! good.

In conclusion, we welcome you to leave your comments - perhaps you know better service? Perhaps you disagree? Write it up!

Update: While it is truth that followers list gets full and very quickly, it is filled by random people – some of them are very valuable, others – not at all. Lots of them do not speak English, and they will slightly unfollow you with time, while you will be doing the same with 1/5th of total followers that were added during campaign.

This does not renders service ineffective, after all – they advertise "followers", not "new contacts with whom you'll have something to talk about". And if you need it to boost up your sites' social awareness to monetize it (via BuySellAds.com, for example), this might have a pretty good sense. Otherwise, think twice whither you do need hundreds or thousands of new followers in 1 day.
